Alex & Adam New Sunday Champions

Nineteen teams staked their claim to the Northern Lounge's Sunday Night Scotch Doubles 9-ball tournament but only one team would emerge as the victor.  On the 13th of July that team was Alex Aroz and Adam Payne. Tournament Photo's      Following up last weeks thirteen team race won by 'Skippy' Baker and Ricky Albritton there was a wealth of new teams vying for the cash. Alex & Adam were the hot seat winners with wins over Brian Sheperd and Chad Lovelace, Sophia Morquecho and Paul Vasi, Oscar Avila and Wade Rea after a first round bye.  Their hot seat match win was over the bottom bracket winners Teresa Eibner and Steve Soto.       Steve and Teresa's run to the cash started with a first round bye followed with wins over Troy Ridder and Billy 'Blueberry' Moore, Paul Santori and Eric Johanssen, 'Crash' Reddin and Ryna McEnnis before their hot seat defeat by Alex and Adam.  Their first visit to the left side of the board would be short lived as this team dispatched the duo of 'Crash' and Ryan once again for a chance at the title.       The title would require defeating the Alex and Adam two sets in this double elimination format.  This team was patiently waiting for their final opponent and stayed focused inspite of the wait that follows the hot seat match.  Without hesitation Alex and Adam showed they were in it to win it and claimed the title in the first set.       I don't want to forget to mention that the Northern Lounge provides free pizza to all of it's Sunday night scotch players!  If you have a great event you have played in or directed one please send us your write up and photo's as we'd love to post all that is happening for the sponsoring bars participating in the Arizona Hot Shots Pool League.         Congratulations to the team of Alex Aroz and Adam Payne for their outstanding play!  Teams Total Payout With Side Pots 1st Place ~ Alex Aroz & Adam Payne (15) $300 2nd Place ~ Teresa Eibner & Steve Soto (14) $280 3rd Place ~ Chris 'Crash' Reddin & Ryan McEnnis (14) $60 4th Place ~ Oscar Avila & Wade Rea (15) $70
